Where The West Texas Sunset Meets The
dust coast
ABOUT
WHAT WE ARE
dust coast is the juxtaposition of the beautiful, resilient people who inhabit West Texas and the harsh, unyielding environment they call home. It’s a place where the world's most beautiful sunset looms in the sky following a brutal thunderstorm and wildflowers bloom in fields untouched by humans for hundreds of years. That's the dust coast.
WHO WE ARE
dust coast is the farmers, ranchers, artists, oilmen, and all of the inhabitants of this place who contribute to an attitude unmatched in our still wild state of Texas, who pick themselves up and “dust” themselves off.

MEET THE INSPIRATION
Chad Plunket, originally from New Zealand, found his way to the dust coast where he received two art degrees from Texas Tech University, also holding an art degree from Clemson University. Chad is now an instructor at TTU's Huckabee College of Architecture and Director of the Charles Adams Studio Project (CASP), a non-profit studio project for working artists.
Chad continues to carry forward the dust coast ideals and aesthetics while forging his own artistic path, working across mediums such as paint, steel, wood, paper, and more.
